Compatibility review
We confirm the domestic-line position, pipe size and material, valve condition, power, Wi-Fi, and installation space while excluding all fire-suppression piping.
Whole-home domestic-water shutoff installation • Licensed plumbing execution under RMP M-43057.
Houston-area installation
Large-line flow monitoring and automatic shutoff for compatible domestic water systems.
HydroSense Texas is authorized by FloLogic.
HydroSense supports FloLogic as its designated large-line device family for qualifying 1 1/2-inch and 2-inch domestic incoming mains. Final compatibility and model are confirmed in the written proposal; fire-sprinkler and fire-suppression piping are excluded.
HydroSense scopes the exact installation after reviewing the home's domestic water line, power, Wi-Fi, valve layout, and separation from any fire-sprinkler or fire-suppression piping. Product features and manufacturer requirements are confirmed again in the written proposal.
Installation boundary
The home’s domestic water line is the standard HydroSense installation scope. HydroSense does not install leak detection, monitoring, or automatic shutoff control on fire-sprinkler or fire-suppression piping. Irrigation is optional and must be specifically requested, technically reviewed, and quoted in the written proposal. The proposal confirms the actual plumbing configuration and any equipment required; one shutoff device is not assumed to control both domestic water and irrigation.
How the system works
FloLogic installs inline on the main domestic water supply, continuously monitors flow, and can automatically close its valve when configured leak conditions are detected. Where connectivity is configured, the FloLogic app adds remote oversight, alerts, and controls without replacing local system operation.

Installation-relevant details
Available in 1-inch, 1 1/2-inch, and 2-inch valve configurations
HydroSense designates FloLogic for qualifying 1 1/2-inch and 2-inch incoming domestic water mains; final compatibility and model are confirmed in the written proposal
Manufacturer flow guidance is up to approximately 50 GPM for 1 inch, more than approximately 100 GPM for 1 1/2 inches, and approximately 200 GPM for 2 inches
Uses standard 120V AC power and includes a standard backup battery
App and remote connectivity add oversight and controls but do not replace local system operation
May be installed indoors or in a protected outdoor location that meets current manufacturer conditions
Below-grade installation is not permitted under the manufacturer warranty
Current manufacturer guidance recommends professional or licensed plumbing installation because the pipe is cut for the valve
The manufacturer lists a five-year limited warranty, subject to its current terms
Fire-sprinkler and fire-suppression piping are excluded from every HydroSense FloLogic installation
Product capabilities, app services, and model specifications can change. The final proposal confirms the current manufacturer requirements and exact device model.
Insurance qualification
Some insurers may offer a credit or underwriting consideration for an approved automatic water shutoff, but the insurer decides which models, installation methods, and documents qualify under a specific policy.
Confirm the requirement with your agent before purchasing for a discount. HydroSense provides an itemized installation record and helps locate available manufacturer verification documents.

The exact configuration, final model, installation conditions, and required equipment are confirmed in the written proposal. Fire-sprinkler and fire-suppression piping are excluded.
Current manufacturer guidance describes a standard backup battery that supports local monitoring and valve operation during an AC power interruption. Battery condition, replacement timing, and current manufacturer requirements are reviewed during the final system handoff.
Yes. Current manufacturer guidance says local monitoring and shutoff operation continue without internet service. App alerts, remote oversight, and remote controls remain dependent on the configured connectivity and manufacturer services.
We verify the domestic-line size and flow requirements, pipe material, main-line routing, installation clearance, valve condition, protected placement, 120V power, and Gateway or Connect configuration. We also identify and exclude fire-sprinkler and fire-suppression piping. Final compatibility, model, and equipment are confirmed in the written proposal. Some insurers may offer an incentive for an approved automatic water shutoff such as FloLogic, but eligibility varies by insurer, policy, model, installation, and documentation requirement.
